There are in total 18 universities within an hour’s drive of Manchester and we are delighted that the University of Salford is to open a campus here at MediaCityUK which will house over 1,700 students studying courses including journalism, animation, TV documentary-making, technology-based programmes.

In late 2012, The Oasis Academy, MediaCityUK will open. Located on The Quays, in close proximity to MediaCityUK, the academy will have its own radio and TV studios, production offices and other facilities that would be expected of a Media Centre.

The new complex will also feature the best possible provision for Science, Technology, Sport and the Arts, alongside all other subjects in the National Curriculum.
