ITV is moving to MediaCityUK in 2012.

ITV is building a bespoke production centre for Coronation Street on Trafford Wharf next to Imperial War Museum North, linked by a new bridge across the Manchester Ship Canal to the rest of the MediaCityUK complex.  Dedicated space has also been earmarked within MediaCityUK’s Orange Tower to house ITV Studios’ production and management teams, ITV regional news, along with support staff across the business. 

• ITV Studios produces over 700 hours of original programming every year.

• ITV’s regional news team will broadcast live from a dedicated studio within Orange Tower.

• The new Coronation Street production centre will include two sound stage buildings, specialist production facilities and offices, dressing rooms and meeting space for production staff.

• Coronation Street is Britain’s longest-running soap, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2010.
